CASE STUDY

BRIEF:

Lead the creation of the Vision Plan  and oversee its Implementation for Belleville’s “Downtown Revitalization”.

ACTION:

• Advised the Mayor and City Council in the creation of the ‘Mayor’s Taskforce on Downtown Revitalization’.
• Created Technical Advisory, Downtown District Advisory, and Community Advisory insight and input paths to keep this project community-driven. Terms of Reference for each were informed by direct stakeholder input.
• Identified and addressed servicing and infrastructure limitations.
• Ensured focus and alignment with this longer term plan, and made sure that Council and Administration remained on the same page, in perspective and in governance, through the actual implementation of the Downtown Revitalization project.

RESULTS

Designed and oversaw the implementation of a vision for the City Centre / Downtown District in Belleville that delivers  on three key levels – social, environmental, and economic.  All while ensuring business and life experience continuity  during construction.
